Martin A. Mueller

Mr. Mueller is a trial lawyer with extensive experience arbitrating and litigating, court and jury trials in State and Federal Courts. In addition, he serves as general counsel to numerous private country clubs throughout Southern California.

Mr. Mueller’s real estate litigation experience includes cases arising from contract issues, easements, CC&R interpretation and enforcement, CEQA actions and endangered species claims. He also handles a wide range of business cases, including partnership and shareholder disputes, securities fraud claims, employment discrimination and wrongful termination actions, partnership dissolutions and business interference claims. He has also litigated in the probate courts of Los Angeles. San Diego, Orange and Riverside Counties, where he has tried will contest actions, claims to recover assets on behalf of estates and various trust and will interpretation actions.

Mr. Mueller advises private country clubs on an ongoing basis in areas that include interpretation and enforcement of bylaws, employment matters, member relations, and litigation management. His extensive involvement in the golf industry includes his ongoing service as a member of the Board of Directors of the California State Club Association.

Mr. Mueller is a past President of the Desert Bar Association. During ten years of service as a Trustee of the Desert Bar Association from 1997-2007, Mr. Mueller served in numerous capacities, including court liaison and Chairman of the Court Mediation Subcommittee. He has served the legal community as a volunteer Mediator and Settlement Conference Judge, as well as Judge pro tem in Superior Court. He currently serves as a retained mediator for a wide range of personal injury, business and employment cases. In addition, he is the Judge pro tem appointed to hear all cases filed in the Tribal Court of the Cabazon Band of Cahuilla Indians.

Mr. Mueller graduated with a BA from University of California at Santa Barbara in 1980, and received his Juris Doctorate from Hastings College of Law in 1984. He also completed mediation training at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, Pepperdine University in 2008.

Mr. Mueller is recognized as a skilled strategist, a thorough, persuasive writer and a passionate advocate. His competitive nature lends itself to the litigation arena, where he has successfully practiced since 1984.
